These carefully crafted presets provide you with a solid starting point, leveraging the wisdom and strategies of successful investors. You have the flexibility to use them as they are or tweak them further to align with your specific preferences.

Y-Combinator Inspired

Y-Combinator is a renowned startup accelerator that was an early investor in companies like Airbnb, Coinbase, Cruise, DoorDash, Dropbox, Instacart, Quora, PagerDuty, Reddit, Stripe, and Twitch.

There have been many Y-Combinator-backed startups that went on to have Reg CF rounds on portals like Wefunder. Some of these startups include Substack, which raised $7,809,219 from 6,688 investors early this year, and MTailor, which has already raised $1,969,954 from 1,334 investors and continues to accept investments.

We analyzed such Y-Combinator deals for the 12 scoring factors to create an algorithm that we believe best encompasses what YC values - Founder Past Exit, Post-Revenue Stage, High Revenue Growth, Full-time CEO.

Shark Tank Inspired

The Shark Tank Algorithm takes inspiration from the TV Series where entrepreneurs pitch their ideas to seasoned investors, the Sharks, who focus on each investment opportunity with the question “how will I get my return?”

Most companies that are fortunate to get a chance to pitch the Sharks are also able to market their product to the viewers.

We delved into live and closed deals that received investments from a Shark and later went on to raise funds through Equity Crowdfunding to capture the essence of what makes a successful Shark Tank deal - Post-Revenue, Profitable, Experienced Founder, and Intellectual Property.

Warren Buffett Inspired
